Weekend Tappenings…

Posted by on Jun 20, 2014

I’m not gonna lie; it’s hot out there! So, grab a beer and check out what’s tappening…

It’s Firkin Friday! And you know what that means? Head to Raleigh Brewing Company for their weekly cask tapping…This cask of delicious craft beer will be tapped at 6pm.

Looking for some rare gems? Triangle Wine Co in Morrisville is the place to be! They are holding a fund raiser and silent rare craft beer auction to support one of their beloved employees. Bryan Joubert, a father of three, was recently hospitalized with a severe infection in his hand. He has returned home and is improving, but he is still unable to work either of his jobs. All proceeds from the event will go to help Bryan and his family! Auction starts at 4pm’ish.

If you LOVE BBQ then the 3rd Annual Peak City Pig Fest is where you need to be! Hosted by the Apex Sunrise Rotary club, this free family-friendly event will feature a massive BBQ throw down sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Teams will come from all over the country to compete in the only KCBS sanctioned event in the Triangle! And to wash all of that delicious fare down, head to the Beer Garden! Sponsors include; Brueprint, Bombshell, and The Beer Dispensary!

Another fantastic choice for the Solstice would be heading out to Mystery Brewing. They will be throwing a huge Summer Brands release party. The will be pouring Gentlemen’s Preference, Lockwood’s Retreat, Evangeline, and Papa Bois starting at noon! And heading into the evening hours live music from Spencer Scholes Trio at 8PM!

Sunday is a day for rest and relaxation! First up, Fullsteam at 10:45 am for an invigorating flow class led by Anna Cordova, RYT. This class is suitable for all levels, experienced practitioners and those new to yoga and it will offer both challenging and restorative poses, plus a lot of fun. And of course my favorite part: post yoga Fullsteam brew!

While you’re there, stick around to catch a Durham Bulls game at the DBAP at 5:05pm.

No matter what you choose, as long as it includes great friends and NC Craft Beer, you can’t go wrong!

Check back with us next week as we continue to let you know “What’s Tappening…”
